Except for 1 year singing-dancing-acting on the Goldenrod Showboat, I worked in marketing architectural services and product development and continued that when I moved to California in 1982, and to Idaho in 1992, until I retired from earning a living in 2008.

I founded and ran a nonprofit for 6 years that helped spay/neuter more than 3,000 cats and dogs in northern Idaho before I ran out of energy to keep it going.

I currently sing 1-2 times/week at senior communities, sharing Great Love Songs from 1920s - 1980s, and am the happiest ever.

Jim and I were good friends from kindergarten [at Thomas Jefferson] continuously through high school. Jim played trombone and when a few members of the Vikings orchestra accompanied my singing at a special concert at Ft. Leonardwood, I remember napping on his shoulder on the return bus trip.  I also loved cheering for Jim at football games and swim meets, and we chose to walk togther in the procession to receive our high school diplomas. Although we didn't stay in touch afterwards except to catch-up at class reunions, I continued to think of him fondly and send my condolences to all who loved him and were touched by his caring attitude. He's a truly good guy.

As a fellow cheerleader, Linda and I shared wonderful Normandy Vikings memories. I can still see her bright smile and amazing cheer split jumps! She beat the odds before and it saddens me that she couldn't overcome them this time. ~ Ronnee Brunk McGee, Class of '66
