Comments:

I still live in the neighborhood. Jim and I married in 1971 and bought the house I grew up in on Augusta. We were married 45 years. I am still here surrounded by my family and friends. I am an active member of St. Ann's Parish, a ward 3 council person in the City of Normandy and running for Mayor. I am a founding member of Citizens for the Advancement of Normandy (CAN), and on the Normandy Historic Commission. Jim and I had 3 RE/MAX offices and merged them with RE/MAX Results, where I am now a Broker/Officer.

School Story:

I loved all my years at Normandy. I started my Normandy experience at St. Ann's School before attending Incarnate Word Academy and then Normandy Senior High. I enjoyed making lots of friends, many are my still my neighbors. I think that is what I have loved the most. The friendships and bonds we created during our years at Normandy have lasted a life time. My Dad was a 1947 Normandy Grad. His classmates were life long friends, and we still keep in touch with them and their children. The class of 1969 had lots of spirit and it showed at all the sporting events and in the ways we have contributed to the community since we left Normandy. The one big life changing event for our community was of course the "riots". For some people it was an excuse to leave. For our family it was a challenge to grow, thrive and make Normandy a "Great Place to Live". We still believe it.

It was great reconnecting with you at the reunion. Thank you for sharing your "boating pictures" with me. We are blessed to have people like you serving our country. Thank you for all the sacrifices you and your family have made.
