Class of 67 - 55th Reunion

Mark your calendars and make your travel plans! The reunion committee has finalized plans for our 55th reunion to be held October 12th and 13th. Yes, these are weekday events! Now that retirement is more the norm for our group, and in order to help keep the cost of venue rentals lower, we have moved away from gathering on the weekend. Casual attire is fine for both events. You can also have a chance to channel your inner Tiger Woods and join classmates for a round of golf on Wednesday morning.

• Wednesday, October 12th - Golf Event

A scramble format for either 9 or 18 holes will be played at The Landings at Spirit Golf Club (180 N Eatherton Rd, Chesterfield, MO 63005). If you are interested and you didn't reply to the earlier email about signing up to play, contact Ken Horn immediately ( or 314-608-4437) to be included in the event. Eighteen people responded initially so there are only SIX spots left! The greens fees for golf are $33 for 9 holes and $44.00 for 18 holes payable the day of the event. Ken has to give them a final headcount by 9/28/22.

• Wednesday, October 12th from 3:30-7:30 p.m.

We will gather at The Shack, 14810 Clayton Road, Chesterfield. We will have the entire restaurant to ourselves so we'll have plenty of room to examine all of those memorabilia gems and mingle easily with attendees. We can even sign the walls and let them know the '67 Vikings were there! A variety of sandwiches, appetizers, dessert, and tea/coffee/water will be served from 4:00-7:00. A cash bar will be available. The cost for this event is $35.00/person.

• Thursday, October 13th from 12:30-4:30 p.m.

Join your fellow '67 Vikings at Water's Edge Banquet Center at the St. Peters Golf Course, 200 Salt Lick Road, St. Peters (just south of I-70). This facility was completed in 2020 and provides a great atmosphere, including an expansive deck overlooking a lake and the golf course. Our buffet will be catered by Valenti's Market and will be served from 12:30-3:00. You can enjoy salad, sandwiches, heavy appetizers and dessert. Soft drinks, tea, coffee and water will be provided. A cash bar will be available. The cost for this event is $45.00/person.

Maps to the event sites are included in the Registration papers you can download using the link below.

Reunion Photos

You might remember that we used a photo sharing app called Cluster for our 50th reunion and we were able to upload photos and share with those who requested to be part of the group. We are pleased to be using this app again. Even if you don't attend the reunion you can request to join the group on the registration form. The Cluster App is free in the iTunes app store or the Android play store. This worked out really well at our 50th!

Don't have a smartphone? You can access the photos on your computer!

There will be an area set up to take pictures of elementary school groups! Whoever takes the pictures can upload them. There WILL NOT be a professional photographer at either venue.

How to participate with Cluster:

1. Give us your email address on the registration form.

2. Check “Yes” following the “Send Me A Cluster Invitation” entry on the registration form. Please do this even if you joined the 50th Reunion group. A new group will be set up for the 55th.

3. When we get your registration form, we will send you an invitation by email to join CLUSTER. We have set up a private group there called “67 Vikings 55th”. Once you receive the invitation email, just follow the prompts. It will ask you to create a username and password. When you have completed that, you will have joined the group. Cluster will open and show you any photos that have been uploaded. You will also have the ability to upload photos to the group. All photos will be visible ONLY to people who have registered with Cluster and have been invited to join the “67 Vikings 55th” group.

4. After the reunion, if you decide you like Cluster, you can use Cluster to set up your own private groups. Only the people that you invite will see the photos you and invitees upload. It’s a great way for families to keep up with distant family members.

Check us out on facebook - Just enter 'Normandy High School Alumni Association'' in the search box on your facebook page to:

view photographs - old and new (and add your own),

learn about NHS and alumni,

get notices about NHSAA events,

and to add comments to let us know YOU are there.

Over 1300 alumni have joined us there so far. We'd love for you to be a part of NHSAA!

If you kept NHS Couriers (or memorabilia) and you don't know what to do with them, we have a suggestion! Donate them to NHSAA. Every so often someone writes us seeking articles from old Couriers - perhaps they (or a parent or sibling) wrote for our student newspaper. If we are able, we'd like to help them out.
Mail them to us or if that doesn't work for you, contact us and we'll try to pick them up. Thanks! Email your questions or comments -

History of Your Alumni Association

The Normandy High School Alumni Association (NHSAA) is a non-profit corporation (501C (3)) formed in 2002 by Normandy graduates from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. It is open to graduates of the District schools, teachers, administrators and friends of the school.  It is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who also staffs its activities.

Your Association’s Goals

The primary goal of the Association is to raise and administer scholarship funds for Normandy seniors who desire to go to college or a vocational school. Other goals are to be a bridge from the past to the present to the future through the publication of the renowned Alumni Courier and to keep classmates, teachers and friends connected through such events as the summer Sizzler, tours of the school and participation in Homecoming.

Status of Your Association’s Scholarship Efforts

The Association now has three scholarship programs:

• The Morris Blitz Scholarship program now funds two students each year and has grown from nothing into an endowed capital base of over $250,000 through the donations of over 870 alumni and Blitz family and friends. The earnings of the endowment are used to fund two, $2,500 scholarships each year.

• The C.A.R.E. (Career Advancement Resulting from Education) scholarship program is funded each year by several anonymous alumni. Four scholarships are awarded each year at the $2,500 level.

• The John Masterson Scholarship program was started in 2009 and so far over $50,000 has been raised though the contributions of 550 alums. The goal is to attain an endowed capital base of $60,000 and use the income to award two $1,000 scholarship each year to a student-athlete.

The Esther Goff Scholarship program was started in 2012 and so far over $20,000 has been raised though the contributions of 420 alums. The goal is to attain an endowed capital base of $50,000 and use the income to award a $2,500 scholarship each year to a student.

An Investment Committee appointed by the Board manages the dollars in these different scholarship programs.

Your Alumni Courier

The Alumni Courier is published at least twice a year and goes to every dues paying member of the Association. It is one of the few high school alumni newspapers in the country and is enjoyed today by about 1,000 alumni, teachers and friends of the District. Articles and news covers the 1930s through what is happening today at the District. Excerpts from past Alumni Couriers will be seen on this website.

Other Events Conducted by Your Association

The Association each year sponsors an all class event which has been called the Sizzler. Last year over 125 Normandy alumni and teachers attended a fun and inexpensive evening at a restaurant in the District.

The Association also conducts tours by request of the Normandy High School.

The Association participates in the annual Homecoming parade and attends the football game and sometimes sponsors related events.

How to Join Your Alumni Association

It is easy. Send in the $10 annual dues to the NHSAA, PO Box 210869, Normandy, MO 63121. Dues become due in January each year and the Association typically puts out a mailing indicating it is dues time.

Your Volunteer Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors and their email addresses are presented in the menu list should you want to contact them.
