JO ANN WILLIAMS, who taught at Jefferson elementary school before coming to Jefferson elementary in Normandy, died January 31, 2007.  She later taught at Brittany Woods Middle School in the University City district, retiring in 1998. She then became a science  coordinator for the St. Louis Public Schools and coordinated student teaching at Harris-Stowe State University. She was married 47 years to the City of St. Louis treasurer, Larry Williams.
