Comments:

Been married for 40 years to the same guy. Haven't been to a reunion since the 25th. Now the kids are grown and I have three grandchildren. I no longer work at the police department or anywhere else for a paycheck. I am permanently retired from employment and plan on doing some volunteer work at the French Immersion School. My eight-year-old granddaughter
Sydney is in the third grade there (SLLIS).I LOVE being retired and have no problem staying busy at all. In fact, it's all about exactly what I CHOOSE to do from now on. God willing, I'll choose wisely! After 44 years of marriage, my husband Dave passed away on 8/27/20.We had a wonderful life together and I now have three grands to keep me busy, the youngest, Nora, is almost 5. My kids keep close watch over me with the Covid thing and I feel loved and not alone. I sure do miss my Dave though. He was an incredible guy.

School Story:

I transferred to Normandy junior year from the city, where I was Track 1A. I was placed in Ms. Kite's Advanced English class, where she determined I was not "advanced" enough, so she had me moved to Ms. Goff's regular English class. A couple of weeks in Goff's class, and Ms. Goff put me in her Honors English class where I got an H5 for the State essay. It taught me an important life lesson--ENOUGH is relative.

I was just looking for classmates who posted pictures and noticed that, not only do we share the same birthday, we must have grown up in the same neighborhood in the city. I also attended Wyman and Sherman schools. I transferred to Normandy junior year from Southwest in the city. Small world.

Happy Birthday Rich. Mine is three days after yours. We are the same age so this is going to be our big 68th. Happy we are both still here and feeling so young, right? Have a great day and enjoy yourself! Be sure to celebrate you!

Hi Patty. I married David Browning, brother of Linda Browning Bohannon. Linda belonged to an organization that you belonged to. I saw your picture in one of her albums. Small world. I am sorry to read of your loss. I know your children help ease the pain and bring you great joy.

It is hard to believe I have been out of high school for fifty years. Though I spent a couple years at UMSL, working for the St. Louis Police Department provided my real education. I had a life long job that I loved, I still have friends from grade school, and have had the pleasure of meeting some of the most wonderful human beings on the planet. It has been a great ride so far, and I look forward to many more miles of love, laughter and learning. Hope to see you in person at the Reunion!
